Luck vs Hardwork

In a seed shop various seeds placed side by side were discussing their future life on Earth. Apple seeds said "Our family will raise the Earth to tall heights and we shall produce the reddest and sweetest apples ever!"
Pine seeds said, " We shall grow on the hills and produce tall trees and beautiful decorative pine cones overlooking the scenic beauty around"
Orange seeds did not want to be left behind, so they spoke, " We shall produce the juiciest oranges that can cure the nausea the heights of hills can cause."
Carrot seeds spoke, "We shall store all the food under the ground to protect it from the cold winter winds and serve the juiciest carrots all through winter"
The humble pumpkin seeds said then, " We don't rise very high or go under the ground, but we produce the meatiest pumpkins"
A farmer visiting the shop bought all the seeds and took them on their journey around the Sun through the Earth of his fields and orchards.
All seeds were well placed in their slots and covered with Earth again and watered. While each seed was working hard towards their set goals of earthly life, a bird came and took a pumpkin seed out of the soil into its beak and flew off.
The seed felt scared at first, but as the bird flew above the clouds it felt a certain joy. The views were magnificent, ones that it would have never seen in life. It was way above its peers! Even the Pine and Apple seeds won't get to reach such a height despite all their hard work. The Pumpkin seed felt lucky. Soon the bird swallowed it and that was the end of a lucky earthly life.
While the other seeds worked hard for months and years to produce a harvest that they could share with the world, the lucky seed was unable to do so. It had lost its identity and ceased to be what it was meant for. It's purpose of life was lost, though it had the fortune of rising above all others, it was no more it's self!
